The historic center of Graz

The "Schlossberg" (Castle Hill)

Almost exactly in the middle of the city, there is a hill, called Schlossberg. The city grew around it. It is not surprising that this hill has many stories to tell and is worth exploring. Take a walk through the city and get to know the town’s main landmark. Learn the reason why the hill is called castle hill, despite there being no castle.

Coffee in Graz

Traditional cafés stayed, and many new cafés serving award-winning coffee appeared, introducing new coffee cultures. Come and experience Graz’s culinary art: try a “Verlängerter” and a cold brew, while learning about the origins of these coffees – the best way to experience Graz with your five senses.

The World Heritage Site Graz

The historic center of Graz has been a World Heritage Site since 1999, and in 2010 it was extended to also include Eggenberg Palace. During this tour, you will find out what makes Graz so special that it earned its status as World Heritage Site and why Eggenberg Palace is not just a beautiful palace, but what distinguishes it from other castles in the German-speaking world.
